Youth Work Courses
Becoming a youth worker gives you the opportunity to support the youth in our community that are facing behavioural, development, social, welfare and protection challenges. Emotional and practical support may be given in a group or individual basis in order for an individual to take postive steps in their life.
A Youth Worker can provide basic counselling, intervention, risk assessment as well as provide support for certain areas including: building self-esteem and confidence development, drug and alcohol abuse, family issues, homelessness, sex and relationships, education and employment.
Youth Workers collaborate and refer to other healthcare professionals to ensure proper care especially when issues are complex and require speciality expertise.
Youth work can be a challenging but rewarding field, where you have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the youth in our society.
